Born in India, Dr. Mamta Shukla is a distinguished artist, trained aviation pilot, and academic whose work is a vibrant bridge between her Indian heritage and her outstanding contributions to Mauritius. With a PhD in Visual Arts and over 20 years of teaching experience-as both a secondary school educator and a lecturer at the University of Mauritius-she has devoted her life to cultivating excellence in the fine arts through both practice and teaching.
An author and respected academic authority, Dr. Mamta Shukla Edun is widely recognized in the field of art education, having authored several textbooks that serve as invaluable resources for students.
Her multidisciplinary background includes a tenure as a textile and fashion design lecturer at the university level—a role that deeply informs and enriches the intricate textures and structural complexity of her paintings.
